Islington Foodbank

The church is a designated collection point for the Islington Foodbank. The building will be open each Wednesday evening between 6pm and 8pm for the receipt of donations.

The foodbank is designed to help individuals and families in crisis, through the provision of emergency food supplies. Local professional care-workers in the Islington area refer them, with a food voucher, to the foodbank centre where they are given their food supplies, a cup of coffee and help in finding other professionals who can help them out of their crisis.

The foodbank also supports existing agencies working with the distressed and destitute by donating food in bulk.

The foodbank allows the general public to contribute to and support local well-being in a simple practical way.

Donations of non-perishable, in-date foodstuffs are accepted. For example: milk (UHT or powdered), fruit juice (long life), tinned food (meat, fish, vegetables, soup, fruit), pasta sauces, dried pasta, rice, instant mash potato, jam, tea bags, instant coffee, sugar, cereals, biscuits, sponge pudding (tinned).

Please note that the church is a collection point only. We are unable to give out food, or to refer.
