Lockdown 2?

Regrettably, once again we are having to close our doors and not hold services at the church building. The Government have again included 'places of worship' in their list of venues that cannot be open for gatherings during this new lockdown. It is regrettable because we have followed all the guidelines to make our meetings 'Covid-secure', which ought to ensure it is 'safe' to be here. It is regrettable too because church services are meant for our good. However, we respect the Government's decision, we hope the closure will not be for long and we are well placed to respond... From this Sunday (8th November), all our services will be livestreamed on Zoom and some messages will be made available for 'catch-up' on our website. Happily, we are still meeting and so the Word of God is not 'locked down'. Happily also, we are able to keep open our foodbank collection on Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm.

Please keep checking the website for updates. In these difficult times I am very aware that many people may be struggling in many ways, not least spiritually. Please feel free to get in touch with me if you would like to talk.

This is also an opportune moment to point you to our online resources page which has links to good Christian ministry, teaching and other material. It is so easy to switch on the TV or radio, or pick up a device to browse the web, and to find that time slips away and you wonder where it has gone or whether it was well spent. Some of that time at least could be well used in reading, watching or listening to the teaching of God's Word. My list is relatively short, but the links will take you to places where there is a wealth of good material freely available.
